This post is about Nomadhelp, a project for expats and digital nomads that I plan to launch soon. As I traveled around as a digital nomad, I picked up a ton of useful resources and insights. Now, I’m ready to share my experience with other nomads.

Why I Built Nomadhelp

There are countless online sources, like YouTube, communities, and various websites, where you can find information about relocation and tips. But have you ever wondered how useful they really are? Personally, I didn’t find them very helpful. I spent a lot of time researching and collecting resources to create a solid relocation plan.

I want to position Nomadhelp differently by creating a hub with tailored and localized content (in up to 10 languages). Moreover, all information will come from real experiences—no AI here.

What Nomadhelp Offers

Nomadhelp will provide guides that combine the latest web trends, including media content, text, podcasts, surveys, and more.

  • Documents: I’ll share information on how to immigrate to other countries, including the procedures, checklists, and necessary documents. You’ll also find a difficulty rating to help you decide whether to take the plunge.
  • Taxes: Every expat and nomad eventually faces the question of how to handle taxes. While I’m not a tax expert, I can share my personal experience and provide insights and useful guides. I can also connect you with professionals who can help organize and manage your tax obligations.
  • Cost of Living: One of the first questions before relocating is typically about the cost of living and whether you can afford a new lifestyle. I’ll provide detailed information on costs from different angles, such as housing, food, transportation, utilities, and dining.
  • Apartments: We’re currently facing an apartment crisis where nomads, expats, and even regular citizens struggle to find rentals. Having rented in various countries and cities, I plan to create guides that help you find answers and increase your chances of securing a place.
  • Food: From my perspective, the quality of living is closely tied to the food you eat. I want to share my experiences regarding food quality across different countries.
  • Hotels: I can share best practices on how I search for hotels, the sources I use, and my favorite places to stay.
  • Restaurants & Bars: To truly experience new countries and their cultures, visiting local restaurants and bars is key. I’ll provide insights into both local and international cuisines, guiding you on your culinary journey.
  • Routes: I invest a lot of time in planning my trips. I can share tips on how to organize your travels, where to stay, what to visit, and how to save money while maximizing your experiences.
  • Travel Tips: All my guides will include helpful tips so you can get the most out of your journeys.

Community

I’m still deciding whether Nomadhelp will have a community on Discord or Telegram, but it’s on my mind. I believe communities should be supportive and useful, not just a space for spam. The idea is to create an environment where you can chat with fellow nomads who are open-minded and ready to share insights and support.

Add-Ons

I’m considering adding a section where users can request consultations and support calls from trusted professionals, such as immigration and legal experts, to answer their questions and discuss next steps.

Is Nomadhelp Free or Paid?

Nomadhelp won’t be free, but the cost will be very affordable. Fellow nomads can subscribe for just $20 a year. Why pay? Sometimes, travels can be expensive, and I’ve invested a lot of effort, time, and resources into collecting this information. This fee will also help accelerate the development of Nomadhelp and tailor more guides.

Ambassador Program

I plan to launch an ambassador program so partners can earn alongside Nomadhelp by sharing valuable content and supporting fellow nomads.

Newslettters?

Email spam is the worst. But some newsletters can actually be useful, and I’ll do my best to make sure mine falls into that category.
